Sunday’s Elections A Big Challenge For PPGR September 18, 2015 · by Stathis Leivaditis · in Election After negotiations the Pirate Party of Greece (PPGR) has decided to run for the elections on September 20. They will run with the help of a coalition formed together by two other parties, “Dimokratikoi“ and “koinonia axion“. The negotiations for a coalition and internal voting created an outcome with heated debates and disputes. Spyros Chrysanthopoulos, honorary “Captain” of PPGR and one of the main coordinators of the preparation for the elections, spoke to Pirate Times. This was the second election that Pirate Party of Norway (PPNO) participated in. Two years ago they achieved 0.3% of the votes in their national elections. This time, in regional and local elections they achieved the same result (0.3%). In total they received 7.165 votes despite not managing to participate in all regions this year. PPNO had lists in 13/19 counties, managing a slight increase in most of them. Pirate Party of Norway received a total of 5.492 votes which would result in 4.1% across the country and 29 Seats in county parliaments. Compared to 2013 they didn’t manage to participate in all counties this year but where they do partake they increased their percentage of the vote (with ‘Møre og Romsdal’ being the exception).
