PPI General Assembly 2020.2

The PPI General Assembly was held on December 5th and 6th, 2020 online. It started quite on time and this time without any problems with the quorum. The number increased to over 60 participants on Mumble, YouTube and @PiratesOnAir. Very pleasing. The reports were all received without much debate. In addition to the Pirate Party of Venezuela being accepted as a regular member, Pirati.io was also accepted as an Observer Member. The budget for 2021 was approved unanimously for the first time, to everyone’s surprise. In addition to some motions, resolutions were also passed. Freedom To Share needs one million signatures! They will start collecting them on November 15th. @darccio from @partit_pirata shares this link where you can go to contribute. The Massachusetts Pirate Party has released the schedule for their 2020 Party Conference starting this weekend Saturday, November 14th and Sunday, November 15th. After recount, Pirates winning a seat at the local council of Ostermundigen (CH)

The Pirate Party of the Swiss Canton Berne has successfully appealed the official election result in the town of Ostermundigen, which has got its first pirate councilor. The elections in the town of Ostermundigen (population 17000) has faced a debacle that leaves a lot of question open. On the election day of September 29th, all went well according to the plan, and the final election results have been published right at 19:00. There will be a technical test on November 6th to see if BigBlueButton will work for a General Assembly. The BBB channel can be found here.
