Nominate Someone for the EFF Pioneer Award
Every year, the Electronic Frontier Foundation awards three or four Pioneer Awards to people or organisations who have “contributed substantially to the health, growth, accessibility, or freedom of computer-based communications.” The nominations for this year’s awards close on midnight 2nd July 2014. If you know of someone who meets these qualifications then rush to the nomination form.
Your nominee can be any person, system or organisation that has contributed to the health, growth, accessibility, or freedom of computer-based communications and the contribution may be technical, social, economic, or cultural. The nominee can be public or private. You can nominate yourself, your party, your company or organisation if you wish.
You have to give a reason, a contact email or phone number and a URL to information about the nominee.
If the nominee wins, they, or a representative, will be invited to San Francisco at EFF’s expense to collect the award.
Here are two suggestions: brokep and anakata.
For the email addresses, we suggest the press address of the Swedish Pirate Party: anna.troberg@piratpartiet.se
For the URLs we suggest:
Also, life in prison is boring and letters are a good way to pass the time. Please tell the guys that you have nominated them and tell them what has been going on in your part of the Pirate world.

About Andrew Reitemeyer
I joined the Pirate Party of Lower Saxony in Germany in April 2012, once I found out that non citizens were welcome to join and become active members of the Party.
I joined the Pirate Times soon after it was started as a proof reader and am now an editor and author. Since then I have returned to my native New Zealand and joined the Pirate Party of New Zealand.
Politically I come from the libertarian left and have, up to now, not regarded any political party as having a solution for the democratic deficit that envelops the world. With the advent of the Pirate Party, which truly embraces grass roots democracy, I have found a political home. The Pirate Times is a way I can contribute to furthering the Pirate Movement around the world.
